Can I register her?

So I was just wondering if there are any registries I could register Sonya in, in Canada? I can't put any pics up right now but I have a few of her in my barn. I do not know who her parents are, or if they are registered. She doesn't have any purebred papers.

So here is her info:
Height: 14.3
Age: 4 in march
Colour: wild bay with pangare????? (she has silver mane/tail and silver legs)
Breed: qh x Appaloosa ( not positive)
Markings: small star. 2 inch white spot behind left cheek on neck. Back socks . Front striped feet. Roaning throughout whole body.

Thanks, any info will be appreciated!

If you have no info on her parentage, then she's not eligible to be registered with any of the recognized breed associations.

You could probably register her with some fly-by-night association like the BEHR (Blue Eyed Horse Registry) if she has one or both blue eyes, but no reputable breed association will accept her without knowing her specific bloodlines.

Her parents would had to have been registered and blood/DNA typed for her to be considered for registration, even if you could find out who they were.

Plus, the dam's owner at the time of foaling would need to sign off on her registration papers, certifying that this horse was out of her registered mare, bred by a registered stallion.

You have a grade mare. If you're happy with and love her, that's all that matters. Horses are only worth the value we place upon them; her being registered won't make her be worth more unless you think it matters.

I know she can't be registered with any assoc like AQHA or the Jockey club or any like that, I meant registries like the Pinto horse or Buckskin registry, that kind of registry.
I know that she can never be registered purebred since I don't know her parentage.

Could she be registered with the Appaloosa Sport Horse?

I doubt it, since you have no idea of her parentage.

Just because you believe she's a QH/Appy cross doesn't mean she is. She could be an Appy cross, but you don't have any way to verify that other than what she appears to be.

Your best bet is to look up the associations in question, and get their guidelines concerning registration.

Also try American Grade Horse Registry. American Grade Horse Registry (AGHR)

Unless you can find a color breed that will accept her then the answer is "No". Simple as that. Any of those color breeds are actually worthless and truely only exist so that owners can say they have a "registered" horse. She is not worth anything as a breeding mare so why do you feel you have to do find a place that will accept your money?

One of the best horses I've ever owned (and I own him now - Hollywood) is of unknown breeding. If I wanted him to have "papers" I could register him with that color breed but what's the point?

I'm not arguing with you, I'm just explaining why I'm right.

Nothing sucks more than that moment during an argument when you realize you're wrong.

It's not always what you say but what they hear.

Only 1 in Canada and a few in the US.

The Canadian Warmblood will give her auxilliary papers and only if you bred to an approved CW stallion can any of her offspring climb the ladder to a higher division.

Look them up.

You can register also with the PHR or AWS as there aim is more towards the performance area.

Check the AWR. They MAY look at her.
