I found a couple of threads like this from quite a while ago, but I thought I'd start a new one.
Does anyone here have Canadians? If so, I would love to see your photos and hear your stories! We have three and they are such beautiful, wonderful horses. I have found them to be extremely intelligent, which can be a blessing and a curse as they will take control of the relationship if you give them even an inch to do so. They are SO full of personality and depth. They are inquisitive, brave, and very independent but willing to try what's asked if them as long as you ask nicely!
Our first mare is Du Coteau Dynamo Karen (barn name Chloe). She is 15.1 hands and 10 years old. She is really a lovely, lovely mare. Very sweet and kind and laid back.
Next is our four (turning five) year old purebred daughter of Chloe, Stonehaven Charbon Silhouette, or "Sadie." She is 15.2 and very lightly started under saddle. This summer will be her first year of doing any real work. She is quite a diva but is mellowing out nicely as she grows up.
And finally, we have the little guy -- Quinn, rising 2 year old Canadian/Hanoverian cross colt. This is him and mama Chloe when he was four months:
And Quinn at nearly two years old:
I would love to see your Canadians!
