In general, they're fairly docile and gentle to work with, but they're still horses - if they're not trained, or they're not handled properly, you'll run into problems.

aw good! I guess having a quick bond with a clydesdale would kinda resure you won't get trampled as much

I got to sit on my Farriers clydes and he didn't even flick an ear when I got on him. And i half jumped on him because he was still high up even after standing on the wagon. Lol it was a long reach and he didn't care. And they hadn't been ridden at all I really think.

clydesdales are amazing! i have a Clydesdale cross, he looks more of a clydy tho. I only got him about 2 months ago, when he arrived he acted like he had been here all his life. He is calm, friendly with everyone and has the sweetest nature. I sit outside and read, and he just stands there with his head over my shoulder the whole time hehe, but he doesnt understand personal space yet, hes only 2 but loves to be close to you ;p and they learn quickly!
i was at a heavy horse show the other day, and every clydesdale just stood there perfectly. Very calm
