    Color/pattern/breed guesses?

When I bought this mare I was told she is a arab/paint, but after watching the way she moves when I was free lunging her I am guessing Saddlebred crossed with something, she has quite a bit of knee/hock action that I don't think an arab or a paint would give her and has that longer saddlebred head. Does anybody have any guesses on breed? Also what is her color and pattern? I was thinking blue roan, but do blue roans sometimes show flea-bitten markings?

Not sure on breed. But she is definitely a Blue roan paint. And I do believe the blue roans have the little fleabite looking marks so for the pattern it obviously has something underlying that causes the blue eyes. Gorgeous girl!!

Not sure one breed, but she's a gray tovero. Blue roan would have a solid head.

Ahh very true haviris. What color do you think the base coat was? Black? And then she just started greying out?

It can be impossible to tell for sure, but black is possible! I like the blue eye, she'd fit right in here, both our horses have one blue eye, right one for Magic and left one for Gypsy!

So will she become entirely "white" ages?

Yeah probably. How old is she now? I know there are a few members here who have "undercover" paints where they look completely white but when you wash them you can tell they have paint spots = )

She honestly could be Paint/Arab. There are gaited arabs out there, though they aren't as common. The head length could be from the paint. Some paints are a more TB type than QH type. And I'm one that has an undercover paint. She will more than likely lighten up until the grey is mostly or totally white.

Ugh I was hoping she was blue roan, I love her spots!

What do you mean by solid head? Other than the blaze her head and ears are all the same color.
