Rod, she may be quick but she needs to learn patterns at a much slower rate so she doesn't burn out. Plus it adds a little interest to your riding if not out on the trails.

Let her go as much as she wanted today

My muscles are back in riding shape (so to speak) and I let the horse run almost as much as she wanted to today. Did a couple full speed passes and then she started to slow down on her own. Still quick to turn around and go back the other way. Had a much better walk through the neighborhood after getting some of the energy released. When we passed through the large field again she wasn't as anxious and wanting to run. More time in the saddle I think will settle her down a bit.
