He will probably roan out, mine was born with just a blanket on his bum,hes chestnut, now he's got a bunch of darker spots mixed in with his now larger blanket and he's got white hairs all though out his coat.. this happened throughout the summer.. his sire is a chestnut QH and his dam is a snowcap.

Oh, and he's three... his half sister changed from a blanket chestnut to a full blown snowcap in the matter of a couple months.

Point being that appaloosas may change at anytime, however fast, usually before age 10.
