My 3 year old filly is a bay paint but she has a dorsal stripe. It that rare or normal? Becuase I thought bay horses didn't have dorsals. :? Her last owner said it was becuase she is a paint, but how can this be?
Yes, a bay can have a dorsal strip. My friends warmblood has one. We know that she has no influence from a dun of any sort too, since she is a warmblood, and we know her pedigree. It's more common in light bays though.
