At least one parent MUST be a dun... some horses look like they have a dorsal stripe because of countershading, but duns will also have primitive markings (stripes on the legs, and over the shoulder).
He is buckskin he would have a super distinct dorsal and leg barring if he was a dun. He also needs a parent to be dun.
