The Effects of Racing on The Systems of The Horse

Hello,

I am doing a research paper for my english class about the effects on thoroughbred horse racing and their psyiology (sp?) Basically I want to see how racing effects the systems of the horse ( respiratory, lymphatic, circulatory, ect...)

I am having trouble finding studies regarding this topic... any help would be great!

Try the University of Guelph website. Although I can't think of specific research, I know that they work hand in hand with the racing industry here and do extensive research in many areas. One topic of research that I know that they are working on is on neurological disease in horses that have travelled extensively, specifically by air internationally.
