Question Exmoor Ponies

Hello all :)

Its been a while since I have posted something on the forum but i'm back

Okay so my mother and I had the idea of getting a few pure blood exmoor ponies from a friend of ours that would otherwise have had to be put down because they don't know who the sire is . They are still looking but have only proved that they are pure blood so far.

So, has anyone ever had any experience with Exmoors ? They are arriving tomorrow so would be grateful if there is anything we should know, to know it ASAP.

Thanks,

BritishReiner

Incrediably hardy and tough little ponies. They usually make excellent children's ponies. Can't tell you much more than that I'm afraid :(. Good luck.

Eagles may soar but weasels don't get sucked into jet engines.

Okay so they have arrived home ... and they truly are wild :)
There is a Mare (Willow Warbler) with a foal at foot (Colt Un-named), A 2 yr old (Dovetail) (Willow Warbler's daughter) and a 1 yr old (Eiderdown) (another Willow Worbler's daughter).
Hopefully photos coming soon :)

Sounds like you have your hands full! Can't wait to see the photos of them.

Whilst we wait for the photos, I have a challenge for the fine folks on my favorite forum: Our exmoor foal is still un-named, Dam: Willow Warbler, Name has to start with "F". All ideas are very welcome :)
Thanks,
