No, the halter does not stay on the horses when they are out. This was his first time out and I stayed in the pasture. Wanted something to catch him with if he decided that he didn't want caught.
Sorry about the size of the pics, haven't quite figured this out yet.

Yes, I show AMHR, have done some AMHA, open shows, and thinking about getting into Pinto.

I should try to pull up the pics I have of my old mare. She was shown in a lot of shows as a yearling and did really well but not much was done after that. Had her trained up to 2'6 then I sold her. Do you do any Hunter or Jumper classes?

Not yet, have thought about it though. Most of my show string is under 2. I am looking forward to showing some older horses that don't have an attention span of 3 seconds. I will have one stallion (soon to be gelding) turning 3 this spring but he shows no urge to be a jumper. He likes to get made up for halter. Very vain.LOL Mostly I am showing halter, obstacle, driving(a friends horse), and liberty.

We show AMHR in Michigan and Pinto as well. I don't know if you are up to traveling but last year in Michigan we had a show that was approved for both AMHR and Pinto and you could get points in both associations. We are going to have another show like that this year. I can get you the info if you would like. Have you heard of Menagerie Miniatures owned by Donna King or Alvadar Miniatures owned by Jen Groters?
