Yeah I agree, I would go for a QH or paint. When I was riding my paint mare I used to do dressage and jumping, being a mare she did come in season and some days it clashed with the shows but she was good you would have never even known that she was in season but in saying that some mares will get moody. I am now doing western with a QH gelding and I couldn't ask for a better horse. He was worth lots and lots of $$$$$. What I am getting at is if you spend lots of money on a mare and she hurts herself and you are unable to ride her you will get your money back because you can breed with her but if you get a gelding and he gets hurt and you are unable to ride him you will have lost your money. I want to turn you off cause I am 14 as well and horses are my life. Just find out as much as you can about the horse you get, ring the trainers and anyone you can get info from to find your dream horse. I brought both of my horses sight unseen and they were both the best horses ever and I did all the talking to the owner, trainer etc and mum never talked to them until we got them. Anyway good luck with finding your horse.
