Thank you all for your help and ideas, I just wanted you all to know May is doing much better now as she is getting more adjusted to her new diet, I will have pictures up soon for those who would like to see her.

Hey Kyle and welcome to the HF (horse forum). You will find great information here!

For weight gain, I would recommend beet pulp. (i prefer pelleted but shredded works too). Our horses are on triple crown light and beet pulp (although they do not need to gain weight, they are at a perfect size). Beet pulp also keeps the horses weight balanced.
If I were you I would look into beet pulp.

I went to face book to see your girl but had to do a friend request first. Non big deal.
Glad you rescued May. I got my 2 old geldings because no one wanted them. Was the best thing I've done in a long time.

Thanks for all your guys opinions....they are really helping! She's gained alot of weight since I first posted and im amazed at how well she's doing.....I think she has gained at least 150 lbs since I first got her and she's going strong
