I was hoping someone could enlighten me on these horses. I am not of the opinion that someone should not cross horse breeds... But it seems to me a lot of these crosses are popping up for sale. It seems a lot of people with a Frisian stallion will breed it to all of their mares and try to sell them for a grip. Frisians are beautiful horses, but the resulting foal hardly ever looks like anything spectacular to me. I also have a hard time buying into the theory that a cross will be good at something just because it is a certain cross. From what I know about genetics, it takes quite some time before something breeds true. I guess my question is, are these people just playing on people's love affair with the beautiful black Frisian? I am not saying all Frisian X foals are silly looking and worthless mind you, just confused as to why someone thinks they are worth a lot in-utero... or even as weanling and yearlings with no training. Also, I want to point out that spell check wanted me to take the E out of Friesian. I no longer know which way is right, LOL.
