Great barrel horse breeds!

Probally the most common horse for the barrel raceing industry is the quarter horse because they are built and bred for running really fast in short distances, and to turn quickly. Probally the favorite cross is the quarter horse and a throughbred.

It's pretty common knowledge that the American Quarter Horse is the preferred breed for high level barrel racing.

A QH/TB cross is still a Quarter Horse. Appendix QH to be exact.

Close in line behind the QH is probably the American Paint Horse.

Where I'm from there are tons of APHA barrel horses in fact I'm riding two . Not all APHA horses are loudly marked remember the palomino mare in my horses is registered APHA she only has a white blaze.

Good example is here. The bay paint is 20 and the louder colored paint is younger. Not bad for an old lady and a pinto bean eh?

I don't see how you've not seen paint barrel horses they are everywhere. You need to do more homework.

I run an Arabian x Rocky Mountain in barrels and I dominate in School shows against the stock breeds. In a show that accepts 1d competitors, I entered the 1D class that pays back through 4d. (The first 2 competitors that run a time at each level) I got 4D on a poor round.
