Color people. Arabians are not pinto, neither are Quarter Horses.

Pure bred Arabians can carry Sabino and QHs can be found in all paint patterns. Now that they have lifted the high white rule you can register your "paint" QHs as QHs and they are not limited to APHA registry any longer. Am I missing something BarrelRacer23? It has been my understanding that all Paints are Pintos but not all Pintos are Paints. The APHA based their breed on color and type (stock horse). Their breeding is mostly QH. Please explain if your understanding is different.

I guess I give up. Your horse is the very typical croup and HQ's that are notoriously QH. There are so many registered Paints w/QH blood. Is your horse registered ___? If not, is this just an exercise? =/

He is a bay tobiano Paint if that is what you are leading up to IMO. If you have a copy of his papers or know his parents you can look to see just how much QH and TB is there. There is a possibility that your horse could be double registered depending on the registration status of his parents.

Sunny is not registered. He is 16 hands. He is NOT an Arab (I love Arabs!). He could have a small amount of QH in him but his large but slim build plus his very thin top-line tells me otherwise. Thoroughbred is very likely and obviously paint. Both Arabians and QH can be colored! Though a pure bred QH or Arab would not be colored, the slightest bit of color in either the dam or sires jeans can come through witch is why there are allot of national champion QHs/Arabs that are colored.
