Gypsy Vanners

This is just so cool that I wanted to share my experience today!
My daughter is in 4H and her leader is always trying to come up with new and exciting "field trips" for the members.

So far this year we have attended a Dressage trainer/instructor barn as well as a Draft Horse clinic all were really interesting and informative.
Today we traveled to a local barn who breeds Gypsy Vanner Horses for a barn tour. All I can say is WOW.
Her horses are simply amazing and beautiful! We learned so much about the breed ......I would love to be able to own one of these amazing horses....but they are way out of my price range.

Her horses were so gentle and loving as well. I told my daughter that if we got a Gypsy it would be her dressage horse

Has anyone else had the pleasure of working with/riding these beautiful horses? If so , please share your experiences I would love to hear about them.

I also have attached a couple of pics from today. My fave part was the little colt that was with his momma. He was so sweet!

I've only briefly heard about them, but they seem absolutely gorgeous. And those pics are awesome. I love the first one! Too pretty!

Never had the chance to work with one, but they have to be one of the prettiest breeds out there. That little colt is too cute!!

All the horses there had the best temperments too! They seem like really awesome horses

That colt was just the sweetest thing, he walked over to me and just loved being petted and scratched. He was such a friendly baby!

My mom was given one. My mom does equine assisted therapy work with people, so the mare was donated. She has some kind of problem where she can't sweat properly, so since my mom lives in Colorado they thought it would be better for her there than in Arkansas. She isn't broke to ride, she's 5 years old, and a total puppy dog to be around. She has the attitude of like... winnie the pooh or something haha she sweet and just wants loveee loveee loveee!

My mom also bought a GV filly in utero who was born in january. She will be delivered to my moms place in two weeks, I can't wait to see her in person. Here are pics of my moms Vanners....

:) I love them. I told my mom to start buying them so I can inherit them, and she actually listened! Heehee!!!
