Hannovarian breeding lines

Kayty said===''I could talk about D or R-line dressage horses all day.''

Well here is your opportunity.

My boy comes from the ''D' line going all the way back to Duff 11 three times in his pedigree. That would include Ahlerich ( dam was ''D'' line'').

If given a topic about it, yes I could ;)

I was after a D or R line for my youngster, but ended up with an F and to be honest, I am absolutely thrilled with him. Temperament is unbeatable, very rider friendly.

What is your boy out of Spyder? I have seen, in Aus at least, that some of the D line stallions available here are quite hit and miss over the TB mares.

By Diamant who is by Dimitrj by Dynamo...goes all the way back to Dominik--Duff 11 the main starter of the ''D'' line. Actually carries this line three times.

Dynamo is the sire of Dollar girl, big former name in jumping...A ton of jumping talent in this line...as so many from the ''D'' line were jumping but most didn't know that they came from the same line.

But a lot of good dressage horses came from this line also.

My sister has a gelding by Diamont (or is it diamant? lol), love the line.

The well-known saying “chestnut mare, beware!” is not completely without foundation. Some go further and add “chestnut Thoroughbred mare, beware!”

Spyder and Kayty, do you guys have the pink papers.. or the German Pferepass then?
Just looking at Duffy's... she's got some nice lines!!
Despite being Westfalen she has some pretty decent Hanno and Oldie lines!

Father-Donnerbube Grandfather- Donnerhall Greatgrandfather- Donnerwetter
Grandmother-Pik Dame Greatgrandfather- Pik Bube Greatgrandmother- Waldfee, greatgreatgrandfather -Wachtelkoenig

Mother- Patrizia Grandfather-Pakt Greatgrandfather- Paradox 1 who was out of Papayer xx
Grandmother- Filia, greatgrandfather Fruhlingsball from Fruhling, Greatgrandmosther Ramona out of Romulus 1

Not bad me thinks!!

Not bad at all Sophie! I am certainly a fan of Donnerbube, very lovely stallion

Billy's are as follows:

Sire: Fisherman's Friend (imp) Grandsire: Fabriano Great grandsire: Wendulan
Dam: Penny Lane Granddam: Pik Solo x Libanon

Not lines that I would have picked, though I am a fan of Fabriano as he is quite a good jumps sire as well and I do like that jumper blood in a dressage horse. But am extremely happy with him and would certainly buy another by Fish

I've just seen a lovelllyy 3 yo out of Fish, that if I didn't already have Duffy, I would have gone to see regardless of my price budget ^^ click on the link below, if you need translating I will try my best! Unfortunately has bonechips :( At that age..crying shame!!

I wasn't particularly bothered about bloodlines when I was first looking, but I think her lines would be wasted on a gelding to be fair! Think I may look to put her to foal if I do go to Sandhurst so that can pay for upkeep!

He is lovely Sophie, Fish really stamps all of his foals. I've only seen one around here that I wouldn't have picked as a Fish, she threw more to the tb side. But the rest have all been very much Fishy! Tor (his rider) sighted Billy for me and said he's another one that is just like Fish. They are said to be 'born broken in' and extremely ridable - I hope Billy throws true to the rest!

What would you put Duffy in foal to?

I don't know.. I haven't had ANY experience with breeding before, but I'm in the ultimate place for dressage stallions I suppose!! or I could just put her to a girrafe... or a camel haha!! Closer to the time I'll sit down with the people that loan the yard to our YO's and speak to them, they're heavily into carriage/dressage work and have some lovely foals.. and ask around. Stud fees are very reasonable out here.

I'd be itching to get on!! How old is he now?? See, DE WB for me means WB... Not TB in the lines!! Very rarely happens out here! I once had a TBx mare, ugly little thing but so loveable, and a breeder wanted her to put his D stallion to!! I was like.. are you for real... it'll have a lovely head and a belly like a wild pig!! She only had weatherby papers though so he turned out not to be that interested haha!

I can't wait to keep updated about his progress though.. Duffy has topline forming.. I was like MUM LOOK!! She thought something was wrong. I gurgled... muscleeeeeee. Only a little bit, but better than the dip and upside down neck she used to have.. well.. still has, but not as extreme!
