I went and looked at a Danish Warmblood mare last night. I haven't yet asked to see the actual papers, and I will before I buy her, but am wondering if anyone can help me find more info on her. Googling her registered name has only found me her son, not her.
According to the current owner, the mare is Unicorn's Good Time, number 02123, and her sire is New Times, number DV 503. Of course either or both of these might have minor typos, such as with and without the apostrophe. I find it odd that the mare has all numbers but the sire has letters in his registration number, but it's my understanding the Danish Warmblood is more of a registry of TYPE, not an actual breed, so maybe the sire is another breed?
Anyway, can anyone provide me any information? I found her on the FEI website, but it just basically has her birthday and name, not much other info. Just curious about her history. I don't plan to actually show her or breed her, but an extensive history of jumping means I might request X-rays at the pre-purchse exam, for example. And I kind of want to confirm that the horse I looked at really is the horse she's telling me she is, but of course the papers will do more to prove that than an internet search.
