Help with My TB's History

Hi! So I've become very curious about my TB's history. I have NO IDEA how jockey club whatnot works, so somebody who can help me find out more about him would be appreciated. For example, if he has good bloodlines, more about his racing history.

His name is Mr. Shamado. Registration number: 9718180. Sire- Mr. Expo, Dam- Shamrock Lady, Dam's Sire- Search for Gold.

Here's a site that had his pedigree and some more info: Free 5-Cross Thoroughbred Pedigrees from equineline.com - Thoroughbred Pedigree now with Free Interactive Nicking
I'd like to know what it means, not all of it, just some of it.
It says 6 races placed for Shamado, what place?

Thank you!

Mr Shamado Horse Pedigree

Looks like he had 8 starts, 3 wins, 3 places (second place).

Thank you so much Strange!
Where did you find this? Well, how did you find this!
Would it be possible to find out where he raced?
Thanks again

I use Thoroughbred Horse Pedigree Query when looking for info on TBs.
It lists their pedigree, how many starts they had, winnings, and any top three places. I don't know if you could find out where he raced. Do you have his papers? It should list where he was bred and if he was sold to anyone (and whom). You may be able to trace some information from that. Also if you can find out who old owners were they might have a website or something you can contact them from. I'm sure they wouldn't mind answering some questions.

I do have his papers! Thanks so much! I used to have an Arab, and there stuff seemed so much simpler... haha
Cool to know my guy actually won something! You wouldn't be able to tell... he's a bit lazy...

Okay, after looking over the website Strange provided, I have another question! (Can you tell I have no clue about TB's?)
At the top of the pedigree, it says:
MR SHAMADO G, 1997 DP = 8-3-3-0-0 (14) DI = 8.33 CD = 1.36
What does it all mean? Obviously the first part is his name, then he is a gelding and he was born in 1997, but what about the rest? From DP on. I have no clue what it all means!
Thanks!

The DP and related numbers *I think* are related to ancestors appearing in the pedigree---linebreeding, pedigree dosage percentage or dosage points-- I am not an expert at how that is figured, but here is link-

For $5, you can watch his races for the next 24 hours after you pay. I found all of my horse's races. It's really fun to watch.
