Hensons

I was just wondering whether anyone else had seen, owned or even heard of the Henson breed before? Before starting work at my yard I had never heard of them before.

My boss is in love with the breed. She told me that there is only something like 7 in the country? And we have 4 of them We are also bringing a foal over soon so soon to be 5!

Is there really that few in this country? Why?

Just for fun, here's our 4

This is Quidditch

This is Ash

This is Enya

And this is Philou

As soon as I saw the photos, I thought 'fjord'. I just looked them up and was basically right

They're gorgeous and I'd love to have one. By the sounds of it, they're basically Fjord's (which I've heard people here singing praises of) crossed with saddle horses to make them more suitable for riding... And they come in my kind of height! I doubt there's any in Australia though...

We use Quidditch and Ash for driving and riding, and Enya and Philou just for riding. All of them came from France where they played Horseball and were driven. They are so versatile I don't really know why there are so few.
