I am going to be the odd man out here and state that there are horses that are conformationally correct with good bloodlines that are worthy of breeding due to their pedigree alone. Without ever seeing the inside of an arena.
Now if you want that foals value to be increased you should show either the sire or dam both preferably.
Those foundation QHs are pretty versatile. They are the basis for the breed that is known for its versatility. Shalom
