How's her pedigree?

Sorry if this is the wrong spot, I wasn't really sure where to post this.
A few months ago I bought a paint mare (mostly quarter horse) and was wondering if she has a decent pedigree. I've always been around Arabians, so all the quarter horse names are new to me. I recognize Doc Bar, but that's about it. So would anyone mind telling me if she's got anyone special in her pedigree? Thanks in advance!

I think the mare has some good background. Not sure about the sire.

Her sire has Impressive bloodlines, his bloodlines tend to produce big muscled up offspring. Its all preferance with Impressive bloodlines, some people like it and some people stay away from it because he is thought to carry a genetic disease called HYPP, Im sure youve heard of it. However, he is so far back on her papers it is highly doubtful to be an issue. Here is a link for you on Impressive Quarter Horse Directory - Impressive=

Thanks for the info! She is HYPP n/n so that's good. She is rather short and stocky so I guess that is where she gets it from!

That is good! My friend was looking at buying a QH mare that is out of Impressive bloodlines and the lady hadnt had her tested, she actually ended up testing N/H...so you never know. Glad yours is N/N though. She's a beautiful girl!!

Thank you! I've always thought she was beautiful but I'm biased! Her pedigree doesn't really matter as I won't be breeding her, but it's nice to know she's decended from some good horses!

Two lines back on her dam's side is pretty good. I like Doc's Oak and Driftwood Ike. Those Driftwood horses have the best work ethics. She is very pretty. It says she had a dun foal out a bay? Maybe she is smokey black?

Her foal is a tobiano. CW Warpaint Ranch's - Acorn pictures
I think his registered name is Blackmagix My T Oak. His sire was Dun By Black Magic and he was also a tobiano.
What's a smokey black? I've never heard that term before.

Well she goes back to Poco Bueno is AQHA Hall of Fame,
Docs Oak was an awesome cutting horse. I think he is in the Cutting Hall of Fame.
Lightning bar is AQHA Hall of Fame, as is Three Bars, Jet Deck, Top Deck, Sugar Bars, Lenas Bar, Joe Hancock.
If that helps on the QH end. I don't know anything of paints really.
