Its just not there. Tobiano does not carry in AQHA lines. Paint yes, QH no. So for all intents and purpose this horse is a Pinto.

^^^what she said^^ This horse is not AQHA or APHA,yes it may have some QH breeding but that seems unknown. Horse is considered a pinto based on markings & if OP wants to try register horse that would be her only option PtHA
twp your horse is then an overo,{Crop out QH} , a QH by pedigree but excessive white. At one time QH had restrictions on amount of white horse could have despite coming from 2 registered QH parents. Those with excess white were not accepted for registry, but those horse were accepted into APHA as paint horses. Colored AQHA & TB were always acceptable outcross for APHA registry. Now AQHA has new relaxed white rule & accepts those with excess white as long as it can be shown horse came from direct line of QH mating,QH+QH=QH. With AQHA relaxed white rule that is now why you see double registered AQHA/APHA horses, many horses that were denied registry based on white are know recieving their rightful AQHA papers

OP's horse has tobiano markings, not pattern you see coming from direct QH lines.Heard of only one case....

She is not an overo. Both her parents were apha, her sire is apha aqha, and so is her grand sire.

Oh Boy...lets try this again, twp
Yes Overo is word to describe the white color patterning.Your horse if indeed register with APHA would be called an overo on it's papers describing it color pattern
{based on what I see in your avatar pic}.

Ok then, your horse color pattern is Tobiano & overo combo*tovero*,based on that.
I was just going on the little bit of what I can see of markings in you avatar. With that then I question your horse actually being double registered with AQHA, if she has tobiano pedigree in there..

there's not much point in calling about DNA testing, if you're talking about trying to register the horse. To register with a breed association, you have to PROVE that the parents are purebred (through registration papers). So, about the only thing you can register this guy with (without knowing who his parents are) are color registries like the Pinto Horse Association.
