yes....and OVERO can be dual registered....a tobi can not.

Exactly GottaDun.

I think where people are having the issues is they think that any APHA can be dual registered and that is absolutely not true. The AQHA may have lifted the white rule but that doesn't mean that they are excepting everything. It just means that a horse has to meet strict requirements in order to be registered with them again. Can be a giant PITA. More so when you get dual/triple registered horses that have a different name in each registry...

He doesn't look stock horse to me, but more like a spotted saddle horse and they don't always inherit gaiting.

All I pay my psychiatrist is cost of feed and hay, and he'll listen to me any day!

Didn't read past first page. I vote Spotted Saddle Horse, or some kind of Saddlebred cross. Hind end seems gaited to me, though he could just be a TB/Paint mix Face says stock horse to me, legs say gaited or TB. Hard to say.
