Lets see your halflingers!

Another breed I adore. Would love to get one some day. Let's see your halflingers and hear what you do with them!

Here's my Haffie cross Willow aka Porkchop aka McNugget LOL! Picked her up at the local horse auction! Has a real attitude and hates being left out!

Aw she does look rather angry at the world. Did you get her at Shipsy too?

Yeah, we got her at Shipsy too! They had quite a few but she was the only one broken to ride!

That pic was taken the day she came home. She's really not that grumpy. She just HATES being left out if we go riding or something. Yet when we do ride, she's got attitude like crazy! She rides well enough but not without a few bucks thrown in for good measure. Thankfully they are only about 6 inches off the ground because she's so fat LOL!

Oh, thats right, I got her and your Rain confused for some reason.

She is soooo little! Next time I go to Shipsy I might look for a halflinger, but it would have to be a pretty sporty one.

Yeah we think she's mixed with a Shetland. The other Haffies went for $300 or less but they were either yearlings or stallions. I still think we should meet up at the one the day after Thanksgiving!

I am totally game for that! I am off my crutches now and working on walking normally and my stanima, at this rate I should be somewhat normal by the sale. The last time I was there I only saw one Halflinger, but at the draft horse sale last year I saw at least 25 of all shapes, sizes, and genders. I think its just has to do with when you go.

The only problem is if I pick up a horse I have no way of getting it home.
