Lets see your Standardbreds!

So I couldnt see a Standardbred thread, so Show us yours!

Im a big supporter of both Standardbreds and Thoughbreds off the track and enjoy retraining and enjoy bringing them on and even enjoy getting rid of the pace and training the canter. (Im currently injured so out of action) but these are my guys, they are currently holidaying while im injured.

Please Excuse my horrible introduction the bay is Bella (show name: Elusive Enchantment Race name: Itwasalladream & 15.1 hh)
The black is Monty (show name Hidden Wonder Race name: Boltamont 14.3 hh)

Both of them trained as Pacers before coming to me, I got Monty as a 2yro, and I got bella as a 9yro, Monty is now 7 and Bella is now 10. I Broke both in myself and they both took to it like duck to water, Bella in perticular, she was sacked as a 3yro and then untill I purchased her went through two owners but just sat in the paddock during that time. They both have very smoochy personalitys always neigh at me as soon as I come to the gate and gallop over.

I really like Regent Shark aka Phoenix he would make a Lovely performance horse with his build and movement Also Miss Romance aka Romance would make a lovely showy standy in the ring.

So what does everyone do with there horses?

I (normally when Im not injured) I mainly do showing and also some dressage. Love showing my guys have done well but I havent been able to take them out much due to having a flat out job. Can't wait till im fully recovered and back out riding and competiting and able to do everything I use too again :)

I also really like Kody's Boy He has a similar sweet face to one of my Standardbreds I bought and trained up years ago, he was such a lovely boy and had spectacular movement :)

Also Afterflash, what a Flashy Boy!!! What do you do with him?

Kody is living out his well earned retirement.

Phoenix & Romance will, if all goes to plan both have in hand showing in their near futures. After Phoenix is started under saddle and Romance has foaled they will hopefully start competing under saddle as well.

What a great topic, I have a gorgeous gelding (pictured) who was as a pacer but never raced. He is only tiny at 14.1hh. We have been together for the last 4 years. Racing name "We be gee bee"" (Weebs). He was a stallion when I got him and showed at the Royal as a stallion etc. I breed one foal from him a gorgeous chestnut filly who is a rising 3 year old - I gelded him 3 years ago and have been happily dong trail riding, camping and beach riding ever since. He is a great horse and I love him to bits.. This is a photo of him, clipped ready for his last show season as a stallion.

Oh wow!!!! If you ever want to sell him let me know! He's lovely! And nice and compact :) Love to see some pics of his daughter, Id like to breed my mare at one point in the future, but that's a fair while away from now, he would do very well in the show ring :)

Unfortunately Weebs is not true to the breed ie.. the height as he is not the norm for the Standardbred height - so though he placed at shows he was never first due to his height. Hence we do not show anymore, I love his height as I am only short LOL! He is such a sweetheart and my best mate!!
Below is his daughter "Angelina" whom I crossed with an Australian Riding Pony (14hh) also pictured (the saddled Liver Chestnut). It was a fantastic cross as Angelina is just a gorgeous filly that has exceeded my expectations. Angelina will be saddle trained when she is 4 and will be used as a pleasure mount.
