Just because a horse is a stallion does not mean that they will be anymore energetic than any other horse. Same goes with geldings and mares; I wouldn't say geldings are more energetic than mare And just because a stallion can
breed doesn't mean that they should
breed. Even the quiet ones should only be owned and trained by someone that has experience and knows what they are doing. They require special care and different facilities.
For your average horse person a mare or a gelding are the best options. For educated, experience and responsible horse owners a top quality, well conformed stallion with and superior show/performance record is a fine choice.
