    Morgan?

Just wondering if everyone thinks Spirit is a Morgan like the owners said. They also claimed she was 30 years old, almost lame from arthritis, and bad with other horses. According to the vet, she's closer to 20, only has very minor arthritis in her front right leg, and she's fine with the herd. I think they were just making excuses to justify why they were killing her. Any thoughts? And input on the horse is welcome to, thoughts on how she looks and such. Weve had her for less then a week so we haven't done much yet.

Cannot tell a lot from the angle of those photos. Need a true profile shot. She could be morgan. Wh o knows. Age can only be determined by the teeth, and by a knowledgeable person.

Looks probable Morgan or Morgan cross.. although she does look rather tall and I have seen a couple crosses that have no Morgan at all that look like purebred Morgans..

If the vet said she is twenty, then I would be more inclined to say twenty. I would follow the vet.....If the owners were just going to kill her, it was probably other means

She almost looks like a Canadian horse, which are thought by many to be the forefathers of the morgan breed. When I saw spirit, I thought of Tourmaline:

Maybe its just the way they're standing, lol.

She looks ALOT like another Morab I've seen, not that it means anything...but yeah LOL. I would definitely say she's at least got Morgan in her, purebred...dunno, doubt it.

Lol who knows I guess. And she's actually pretty little, the guy next to her is really short (hahaha sorry Dwane). She's very spirited lol, and fits her name. But a total sweet heart and very smart. I'm totally falling for her ;)

And yes, she's a little chubby. She was a driving horse, but due to being left out in a pasture for so long, she's lost a lot of muscle and put on some pounds. She's starting to sag a bit with age, but heck don't we all?

She looks very much like a Morgan, not like my Morgan, but I have an old style Lippitt. She looks very much like a Morgan but hard to tell for sure with all the crossbreeding going on nowdays, it's harder to tell pure bred horses just on looks alone.
