    Morgan Horses

I've had my Morgan boy since he was 4 months old (he was from a superb breeder and was weaned at this age as he and his mom settled from being away from each-other fairly soon). He's now 1 year old and is standing at 13.3hh, does anybody have a rough idea at how tall he will grow to be? My friend thinks 16hh (ish) as he horse was the same height at 1 year old.

Also, who else has a Morgan? I've found these to be my favourite breed along with Irish Draught x Throroughbreds.

I've owned a few Morgan crosses.. and loved them. I currently have a registered Morgan gelding. We call him Chili. :) He's a 15 yr Chestnut, he's short and stocky. He's also the most.. expressive horse I've own. He makes a big show of everything, but he's a sweet natured little guy.

I have a few purebred Morgan mares, and I breed a few Morab foals now and then. One of my FAVOURITE crosses of all time.

Oh my life! All of your horses are absolutely beautiful! I've completely fallen in love with this breed, and Evansk - they really are expressive horses!

I have a Morgan x Paint who is 16hh. I'm on my phone right now, will post some pics later.
His dad was the Morgan and pretty "Saddlebred" looking, so probably that's where he gets his size from. He does dressage and I love him.
I second the passion for a well-bred Morab - very high on my list for next horse.

I don't know how "saddlebred-y" your Morgan is but I know the average is 14.1-15.2. Also, I have no idea about growth rates or predictions. I do know they weren't originally tall they're more stocky than tall but then again mine is 15.2 and he is full foundation!
Also, he is the most fun horse I have ever known and always tries his best for me. I wouldn't trade him for the most fancy, expensive, well trained horse in the world!

Morgans were always my favorite horses. I loved them from the time I was ready to move to horses. They are so kind.
