I've had my mare (first horse!) for about 3 months and she's an absolute gem, a confidence builder deluxe. We're trying to narrow down what she might be (definitely a cross, though). Her skin is actually black, and then she's what I would consider gray flea-bitten, but her spots are roan. She's gaited at a walk, but trots like a QH. Any ideas?

PS: She's lost close to 250 lbs! The lady who had her completely overfed and underworked, and she was morbidly obese. Looking better and still losing - and she's so thankful I can tell :^)
Do you have more pics of her? Like straight side shots (with her head forward?) it's hard to see the structure of her head to really tell if there's much arab there...I would guess arabian and Morgan, probably...but some more pics of her straight from the side, and some movement shots would help. She's super cute though, and if she's a great riding horse, that is what is most important!!
She is so cute!! You are so lucky to have her. What a perfect 1st horse. She looks very happy.
I had an arab/Tb cross and he was flea bitten like your girl. He was about 16 hands though and had high withers.
I'm almost thinking she maybe a trotter of some sort. Seems like I had seen a few Missouri Fox Trotters online that had her head and were flea bitten.
Super cute horse.. Congratulations
