I know grulla is considered "rare" in Quarters (and that's why I thought Paints as well), but it's EXTREMELY common in Colonial Spanish Horses and other breeds. IT wouldn't be likely that the dun would have come form the draft side (unless it was a Fjord, but no Pangare so I don't think Fjord)

...and you don't have any information at all on him? I wonder if he might fall under the spotted draft registry? He really looks like 2 foals I bought and sold to a breeder who feel under the registry. I would take a look at your local registry and see if there is a way for you to find out. He might be paperable.

Very cute horse. You can also see the dark black lining in the tips of his ears as well. Love horses with primitive markings. The more the better. I have a plain ole' grey horse, so no cool unique markings with her lol.
