My Registered Pinto, what is he?!

I purchasesd my boy Le Coupe De Gold in February. He is a registered Pinto. I read up and understand a Pinto is anything other than a Quarter Horse or TB background. His papers show that his Dam is a Quarter Horse, Sire is unknown.
He was really thin when I got him and I thought he was part arab, but now he's fattened up and he looks full QH to me. But there is obviously something else there. He is 14.3 hands, stocky, nice thick legs. He doesnt gait, but has a very forward walk, and occasionally holds his tail up.. What do you all think? I'm going to post some old pictures and some newer. I will try to post in chronological order..

Hmm, maybe because his Sire is unknown he can't be registered with the APHA. He isnt TB like, he isnt hot headed, normally.. But good to know what others think... any other guesses??

Well I agree that he looks Paint, but no he can't be registered APHA w/ an unknown sire, but that is where he got his color AQHA does not have tobianos.

Green Broke
I don't really see "other" breeds crossed in, he probably is paint, but out of a grade sire so therefore unregisterable. He's very pretty though!

He looks QH x TB to me. Not all TBs are hot headed and crazy, some act like QHs... you never know!

Yes, I'll be willing to bet he's a paint by a grade sire like Indy mentioned. I don't really see anything else in there.

Just a clarification-- Most Paints (who are by definition QH and TB breeding) can be double registered with the Pinto association. Pinto has a division for stock types and hunter types. But they also take ohter types/bloodlines, including mares and geldings with unknown breeding, which is how your guy with the unknown sire qualifies.

I don't know a lot about paints or QH but that neck keeps screaming Warmblood at me. But that might just be because that is what I'm use to.
