Hello!! I was wondering if anybody has heard of or had experience with the national show pony. They seem like a very intresting little breed to me and may be what I am looking for. Here is the Info I have received from www.shetlandminiature.com
The newest small equine recognized by the American Shetland Pony Club is the National Show Pony. National Show Ponies are required to have one registered ASPC Shetland parent or one registered AMHR Miniature parent and can measure up to a full 14.2 hands at the wither. National Show Pony division for hunters, western, and driving are currently being integrated into ASPC/AMHR shows.
These larger National Show Ponies will enable children to enjoy riding a pony with Shetland attributes longer. In addition, they will serve adults as a larger carriage pony for a variety of uses.
I would love to learn to show jump but I want a pony so what about like a shetlandxtb?
