    Rip/ Rips/ Starr/ etc....

My third thought is a variation on your second choice

    Shining Starr Rips
Because it has some action built into the name.. and he looks like he will be a lot of fun to grow up with.

SSR are not bad initials. And who knows it could turn into a name... pronounced "sir"

My closing thought is ... stop thinking... go listen to the horse.
What a cute foal!! I agree with Country Girl though.... we can give you all the advice you want, but it's really up to you and baby

Best of luck! Can't wait to hear the results!

That's hilarious, everything is so evenly voted on. I'm not much for those QH names, but I really like the first one.

Well I am calling him rip and it seems just right.
He is such a little brat to momma already, so I think Rip fits him very well.
And I have spent many hours with him and momma,
I go out and just sit with them and wait for him to get curious enough to come to me and it doesnt take him long.
Nuzzels me all over, I am soooooo in love.
    So glad I done this.
I just don't think I want blue in his name, not now that he is a bay(so far)
I've been told I have 6 months to register him for less money so I think I will wait to see if he sheds out to something else
I really like 2 and 3 of my choices I put up but I also like

    Wimpy Rips?

Your naming dilemma is priceless. Thanks for sharing your ups and downs.
I like Rip and that baby does not look wimpy in any way at all.

I think there is a difference between honoring their bloodlines and choosing a name you will use.

But don't listen to me! I never owned a horse. I just love 'em.

He is definitely a rip and he is sure not wimpy, he tried to kick me twice today.
I was thinking I should put wimpy in there because Wimpy was the first horse registered with AQHA.
Just thought I would share some more pics
