We recently got a non-characteristic appy mare, I've heard if you breed a non-characteristic to a quarter horse, ApHC will not register the foal? Also, how much of a pattern is required for a regular registration, after she shed out, she's got a few white spots on her rump and some roaning? Around her flank area and white hairs throught her tail. She has striped hooves and a white sclera, but I don't believe she really has the mottled skin, but she does have some pink around her anus. We bought her red to a few spot appy stallion who always threw loud babies, but when bred to her, all her babies were born solid and colored out later (they said the stallion doesn't throw varnish roans either, all are either blanket or leopards). So would that mean she is possibly a varnish?
