Off the track thoroughbred pedigree

Everyone that has been following me knows that I have a yearling that I'm raising. Well, I came across a thoroughbred the other day that had pretty much been abandoned. I have another 2 years before I could ride the little one so I figured why not take this TB. He needs some work and doesn't look like much now but I think he has potential to be something beautiful one day. I looked up his tattoo and was surprised at what I found. What do you guys think about this pedigree?

Pretty cool! I think it would be fun to have a project horse for the time being. As long as you have the money, time and space for the horse, why not go for it! :)

I don't keep up with TBs anymore but I do recognize almost every horse in the almost dead last of that horses lineage.. fifth row back? I am familiar with a few of them on the 4th row too but that's it really.. sorry- probably of no help, lol.

Too bad that's a gelding. He has some VERY close Bold Ruler, and everybody LOVES Storm Cat!

Can we see a picture of him?

I know! I'm pretty impressed with his lineage. Its sad to think that he was just given up like that. He just wasn't fast enough. Heres a pic. He's about 17 hands. Very underweight but that's nothing a little tlc can't fix

Forest Wildcat is my OTTB's sire. Your horse is my horse's nephew.

Bloodlines are pretty good. Some big names, but they are pretty common now adays.

Wow that is some close Bold Ruler! Very cool stuff.

I agree with MyBoyPuck - I'm not a huge fan of Storm Cat, although it depends on the horse. I've seen a lot of crooked, nasty SCs, but some nice ones as well. Your boy looks very kind :)

Nice looking boy. Ditto to the above - not personally a fan of Storm Cat.
But I DO like the In Reality in through Glitterman (also the trace to Bold Ruler).
Love me some In Reality horses - good heads and good sport horses with good work ethics.
I am personally digging his dam line a lot more than his sire line. Regardless he is a good looking gelding and should make a fine project horse :-D
