I agree with you. Her head shape really throws me. I'm thinking she's some sort of saddlebred cross, she looks a lot like them except for her neck. Her face to me is either saddlebred or standardbred but I really think she has to have some other breed in there too

I have been rasied in a family who breeds Spotted Saddle Horse and she at least half Spotted Saddle Horse. I can think of three Spotted Saddle horses, that look just like her. Not all will gait, most do if rode to gait from start.. Some will some will never gait. But she really looks like a grade Spotted Saddle Horse, she has the built and the head of one.

Ok question? One thing I can't seem to figure out, are spotted saddle horses the same as saddlebred with pinto coloring or are they separate breeds entirely?

Spotted Saddle Horses are more like Tennessee Walkers. We bred Spotted Saddle Horses and they are pretty much interchange able, some are doubled registered. Spotted Saddle Horses are kind of colored Walkers.

From the front view she is built just like my tennessee walker, long slender head and narrow shoulders. My husband calls him bucket head!

This is my Uncle's 4ish or 5ish full-blooded Spotted Saddle Horse, I was trying to find a good photo of his mom or dad. This is not the best example. All of the horses buddies left right before this photo. This horse is almost longer legged then most of the breed so not a real good example of the bred.

Let, me try to find them, I have some of a couple of the stocky built Spotted Saddle Horses, and some where I have one of him, his mother and father. His mother and father looks like like this, plus I also knew his mother's brother. I also know a couple Spotted Saddle Horses who are brown and white.
