    I do not want to get into a debate with anyone but this is what I have always been told. Palomino is a color. I say it is a color because the Palomino Association has no specific rules on how the horse is suppose to look other than it has to be a Palomino of some sort. The Palomino color was never bred to become a specific standard to make it a breed in itself.

    Palomino is a COLOR, not a breed. You can register your horse with the American Palomino Horse Association but that's a COLOR registry.
