Palouse Pony

We recently bought a little 12hh palous pony, I was wondering if anyone knows anything about this breeds temperament origin etc?

Sounds like it's the Australian equivalent of the POA--Pony of the Americas. Or a largely-grade Appaloosa spotted pony.

Hmm, havn't heard of that name being associated with a "registry". But the Palouse(the old indian term) horse is today's Appaloosa. Being your pony is 12 hands I would assume it's a Pony of America(POA) if registered. If not, it's an appaloosa pony. :) Pics??? Wanna see....

Appy's are like any other breed/horse. Some are sweet, some are not. For the most part I have always found them to be great horses. Some say they are stubborn, but so is my QH mare.. My Appy, Cheno was all the things most horses are.. Stubborn, willing, friendly, aloof, etc.. Mainly he was a good trail horse and great back yard easy keeper too.

Google it, Appy. It's an Australian registry.
