What makes you think he isn't grey? His dam was grey, and his spots have turned white, which normally doesn't happen with normal Appy coloring out. If you get him tested, I believe you will find he is grey...

How would you test him for coloring???
I believe he is "white" ha ha - because I dont see a smudge of color anywhere on him just white white white....Pink skin....I dont know his Dams color (just a sibling)
However I recently contacted the original owner and breeders reg this guy.

They want a pic of him to add to their web sight
They said that he has two full siblings that made it to world!
Showing~

(((((he has a full brother and sister, both are being shown nationally and have been to the worlds, we do have some half bothers and sisters by A Dream Dun Right aka Champ, you are right thet are very athletic and are very eager to please, we would love to get some pics from you on Charley so that we may put him on our website)))))

Unless the information posted on Allbreed is wrong, which is of course possible, his dam is grey - as I said. But it would be highly unlikely someone would post an Appy grey when it is not, as grey is an undesired color in Appy breeding stock.

Your horse is not "white". He clearly had color markings as a youngster. They have now turned white due to only one of two possibilities - the horse is grey or the markings have colored out due to Appy roaning as he is a varnish roan in addition to being a phenotypic, if not a genotypic, fewspot. There is no way to determine on this particular horse if he is grey or a varnish roan without testing for grey. My guess, because the dam is grey, is that he is grey, but that is just my guess based upon the fact that what few spots he had as a youngster have turned white, which is a characteristic of greying - not Appy roaning...

Faceman he is grey as you said he looks like his mommy I am told by the original owner/breeder. She contacted me...And with all my research online I have found out a lot about my horse..
hunter jumper / Hunter In Hand world winners is in his blood...

His full brother is on utube at the world his name is MY Honkytonk Dream
The mare that foaled my Charley is now in Florida at an Appaloosa Ranch called....Charolot, guess she was real happy about that. She wrote (((There is a video on the UTUBE of MY Honkytonk Dream he was sold a couple of times and from what I understand is in a hunter jumper barn. He did place 5th at the world show in Hunter In Hand Yearling geldings He went thur the Appaloosa World Show sale and continued his career at Winning Ways Farm as a 2yr. old he came back to the worlds and showed Hunter Under saddle))))Annndd she said Sonny is a great horse and if her husband had not sold him as a weanling he would have done Yearling Loungeline and Hunter In Hand at the world Appaloosa show that is how the name came about she wanted a name that would stand out.
Pretty cool!

I'm glad you found out so much about him - that is great. And he really does have a first class pedigree.

By the way, if you are not aware of it, Char-O-Lot is one of the premier Appy breeding ranches in the country. Check out their website if you haven't already...

Sunbeach Honkytonk actually stands at my friend's farm about an hour away from me. He is an awesome producer of hunters, and has made some all-around horses.

Alias King produced world class halter (Dreamfinder was a huge success and influence) and performance horses. I got to meet him once, and he was a wonderful horse.
Faceman and Charley horse like this.
