I own both a paint and Percheron. My paint tends to be a good thinker and is always alert and ready to read my signals, always guessing what's next. She is overjoyed to work and does everything full hearted, which does include being sassy at times.
My Percheron on the other hand.... is not a thinker. She just follows. She is difficult to teach new thugs, mainly because she lacks the drive and motivation. I could be on her back kicking and screaming and she would still be putsing along.
With percherons and other drafts you get more of an easy going gentle giant. And depending on the paint horses, you could get an extremely energetic mare like mine. It all depends on the horse.
