After my thread about Appaloosas, I did some research and found this on http://www.mustangs4us.com/Horse%20Colors/appaloosa.htm . I like that site a lot.

Introducing....the "PintaLoosa"! Commonly seen in minis.
( I have never heard of this before, but I have thought about it a lot )

I actually came across this breed online in one of my many breed hunts. I found it quite interesting. I too have only seen this in minis, I wonder why that is.

I actually trained a 8 year old 15 2hh "pinta-a-loosa" gelding once. But he was really a paint/appy. He look just like the first picture of the mini only larger!

I love the first one! Many of the others are gorgeous also. I like the patterns that combo makes...I think in many cases (not all), I like it better than the Appy only pattern - it ads "pizazz"...of course for all of these pictures, I am sure there are plenty that are blah also.

I think I like pure pinto or pure appy better. To me it doesnt look good & its like putting stripes with polka dots.

I usually don't like crossbreeds but I really like this one!
