Poco Bueno horses? Jaz Bronze Bueno babies?

I wanted your opinion on horses bred the same way as a mare I got about 6 months ago for $100. She's a nice little mare and is coming along very nicely (: I'm planning on doing poles and barrels with her , I would love to try out cutting on her but there's no cutting in shows or rodeos anywhere I could compete at nearby. :(
If you've had experience with horses bred the same way as her what did they excel in besides cutting?

She is very well bred, from what I can see.

Some pretty good breeding in your mare, working cow bred top and bottom. Honestly I am not sure if she is the horse you want to run poles and barrels with - as an exaggerated example: it's like bringing a Percheron to the Kenntucky Derby. I hear that barrel racers start to appreciate some cutting blood as addition to their speed breeding for quickness, but your mare is cutting through and through.
However - maternal grand daughter of Freckles Playboy for $100 - pretty good buy!

Thanks! She's going to be a good mare!
I figured I might try breakaway or goat tying as we'll but like I said we don't have a lot of cutting nearby. Otherwise I'd love to do what she's bred for.

... and cutting is a sport that you can not teach a horse if you've never done it before yourself, you would probably need to send her to a trainer, and that gets really expensive. She will probaly make a very good roping mount, though.

I know this lmao. But I'm always up for trying new things. I know I couldn't teach her myself. But there's no point in trying if its going to cost a lot of money to go somewhere just to do it for a weekend

I really like her breeding, has she been tested for HERDA that you know of?

There's no reason why a cutting bred horse can't run barrels and poles. A lot of barrel racers, myself included, are looking for not only running bloodlines but I like my horses mixed with cow horse bloodlines. My mare is reining and running bred...My gelding is cutting bred through and through and he makes a really nice barrel horse. If anything his cattiness, really getting low, and being quick on his feet helps dig around the barrels and turns.

I'd love to see a few conformation shots on your mare and a little more information about her. I think she's an excellent buy for $100.

This is Hickory's pedigree.. Just to show that a horse with awesome cutting horse bloodlines can still make a great barrel horse.

No, she has not been tested that I know of!
I FINALLY got her registered which seemed like forever with the parentage verification!
She's only 14.1 and will be 5 in April. I'm hoping she'll grow just a few more inches! But most likely mature out at about 14.2
Are you still wanting confo pics on her? Sorry, I never checked back on here ! D:
