Potential purchase - APHA mare

So, the deal fell through with the mare I wanted to get as a buddy for Cinder. It's frustrating to say the least. There is a second horse I looked at, and may go back and look at again now.

It's lead me to look more into a second riding horse. Potentially more trained, since I have a lot of work to do with Cinder yet.

She's a bit more $$ (ok a lot more), but is registered APHA, rides Western and English, has Halter points. She's 12 years old, never bred, I have some pictures though they are a old and not very good for critique and she's since put on some weight. They're getting more for me. I'm going to go check her out some more and ride her.

Pedigree

Pros: She's versatile. She's younger than what I've been looking at so that's a good thing, I'll have her longer.
Cons: She's more $$.

I totally understand. Honestly I wasn't all that excited to check her out but once I saw her I had a total change of heart. I love shows and hunts but figured it would be a couple of years before I would do any of that with Cinder. And I've recently started taking western lessons and one of my neighbors does halter. I am excited that she does all of that.

Plus she's kinda pretty and sweet. She makes me feel more confident and I think she'd get along with Cinder nicely.
