Pretty Kaimanawa baby

A bit bored so thought I would show off my lovely Kaimanawa foal :) He is out of a wild muster and is about 10 months.

Absolutely stunning !

Oh Thank You. He will probably be too small for me when fully grown, so one day he is going to make a child very happy!

New Zealands 'wild' horse.....a mix of breeds that became one distinct horse. They are smaller. Believed to be a mix of stock horse, pony (origin, I don't know), cavalry/army horse.....

How tall do they usually get?

Really I'm not sure, I've been away from NZ for a little while, but most of em we would class as a pony.....14.2 and under I think is the 'standard' pony limit in NZ......please correct me Kiwi folk if I'm wrong!!!!

Anywhere between 12hh to 15hh is the standard. This guy if I'm lucky will get 14.2, but probably about 14 only. They are known to be extremely intelligent and sure footed. The breed is really starting to make a name for their jumping ability :)
