Quarter Horse cross?

The mare I am getting in the spring for sure has Quarter Horse in her - her sire was Quarter Horse. But the people we are getting her from said that the breeder they got her from had some Arabians too. Does she look like she has any Arab in her to you? I'm terrible about judging breeds! Thank-you!

She could have some Polish Arab (like my Lacey) in her (they are known for being stockier and looking completely different from your typical Egyptian Arab) but I'd have to say that that seems highly unlikely to me. She looks pretty full QH.

Fabio - 13 year old Arabian/Lipizzan gelding

Rest peacefully, Lacey.

I had a quarter/arab cross that looked just like your girl. Started out looking very arab-y then when he turned 5 he got real stocky and looked like a QH for the rest of his life.

Very pretty girl

She looks very QH to me. I think her head only looks small because the rest of her is so big. LOL.

Always remember that feeling of looking at a big, open country over the ears of a good horse, seeing a new trail unwind ahead of you, and that ever-spectacular view from the top of the ridge!!! Follow my training blog: http://robertsontraining.blogspot.com/

Yah, she looks very QH to me too! She is very chubby - thats why I am going to be riding her lots and hopefully getting her a grazing muzzle in the spring.
