I got a retired Thoroughbred at the start of the year. I need to find out more about her in hopes of indentifying the horse that she came with. The only problem is that she tattoo is faded (as most are when the horse is older) and I'm having a hard time reading it. I'm pretty sure that the last 2 numbers are a 5 and a 2. Can anyone help me read this tattoo. Any help is greatly appreciated. Thank you.
Go to the American Jockey Club's website and have them read the tattoo for free. That's what I did with my fellow, I took a photograph of his tattoo and contacted the AJC and they read it and found his information for me.
That exactly what I did too. They were quick and now I know who my big guy really is. And come to find out his sire was in hte kentucky derby in 1995. Heres hte site just follow the directions. Its pretty easy on out part. https://www.registry.jockeyclub.com/...TOKEN=97775324
