Registering an AQHA in my name? (I am under 18 years old)

Can I, a 16 year old, register my mare in my name? She is already registered with AQHA but we need to register her in our names. My dad and I were wondering if there was any way I could register her under my name?

I'm pretty sure you will have to have one of your parents on the registration with you since you are under 18.
OH, and if you haven't already, if you join the AQHA, the transfer fee will be a lot less for you too.

My quarter horse is registered in my name and I am under 18, so I am pretty sure you can.

My daughter is 10 and her horse is registered in her name only. AQHA will allow the horse to be registered to anyone who has the proper transfer papers signed by the previous owner. :)
