    Foal

There's a pic of her "normal" eye. I think her one eye is partially blue because of how wide her blaze is and the way it extends over her nose and mouth
And here's a couple pics of her on the longe:

I can't turn down an oppurtunity to show her off!

He is something, isn't he? :)
Unfortnately, Khoda came out as a black bay. I'm going to send in his DNA for testing at UC Davis to see if he carries the Sabino gene or not. Either way, I still love him to peices!

Next year, I'd like to breed a mare or two to the stallion Khartoon Klassic. Never been showing, but his offspring are unbeliveable!
    He is a beautiful horse.

Unfortantely to register a horse with the SAHR they have to registered first with a purebred registry - either the AHA or CAHR.

Because her chin has white under her bottom lip, it may be possible that she has the Sabino gene. They say the white has to go past the "chin strap" - where the chin strap would rest - and it's hard to tell if your mare's white goes that far.

Either way, she's a beautiful mare, and I'd be happy with her regardless.

    Thanks, AA!
Roxy is a huge sweetheart. Much like an overgrown puppy dog, she will follow you around EVERYWHERE to the point you just can't get rid of her. If you're petting another horse, she'll come in between and make you pet her. LOL
Maiden is the same way, only not quite as pushy.
Their owner needs to teach them a bit of respect about personal space and quit spoiling them so much.

I just discovered little white dots on Lady's neck under the mane... I'll get some pictures soon. I guess that really means she's a sabino.

You can register a horse at any age, as long as you have papers or a way of getting papers. The main issue is how much they charge for the registration of older horses. I know a lot of registries make you pay more according to the age.
I have only registered horses as foals so I'm not sure I will be of much help but I would suggest calling the registry and asking them for advice. They will be able to give you all the info you need to get it done.

He is a pretty fantastic horse.
He was never shown due to an injury, but he throws some wicked looking Sabino babies!
I'll have to see if I can get a few photos of them.
I'm thinking I might breed him to Rina next summer, and Maiden the next if she's not showing.
She's trying to get me to just buy a filly... lol

Not trying to hijack your thread, Velventeen, just had to share these photos because they are the coolest Arabians, I think!
They are all offspring of Khartoon, and all purebred Arabians.

Not hijacking at all! I love to see the pictures!
I'm surprised how few people (including me until recently) don't know about sabinos. It's like they're a secret breed.

Those foals are so precious! Especially the first, darker one. Awww.

No luck yet with the breeders, I'm still waiting to hear back from someone else with their contact info. I'll be sure to let you guys know when I do find out!
